The jingles of bells on dancers’ dresses echo the land, the sounds of drums resonates through your body and the smell of burning sweetgrass coats the air; this is the 16th Annual Pow Wow and 24th Annual Aboriginal Gathering on the banks of the Peace River. Come immerse yourself in Indigenous culture. Entertainment includes competitive dance & drum competition, inter-tribal dance, hand drum singing contest, hand games, Metis jigging & fiddling and more. A free feast of stew and bannock will be served Saturday evening. Tables, indigenous crafts and children’s crafts will also be on display all weekend.  This event will take place on June 22nd & 23rd at the Peace River Agriculture Grounds on Fairgrounds Road.
